30 Mar 20 - Back yard tree update.  On the 15th this tree had about 4 leaves in it.
This tree on the east side of the pool had only 2 leaves on it.
This tree by the back of the shop didn't have any leaves on the 15th!  It has a few now.
30 Mar 20 - Worked on the window sill and the back splash for the hallway bathroom.  Got the last coat of poly on this morning.
 Installed the window sill.
Got the back splash glued into place.  All that is left is to caulk around each one after the glue dries.

29 Mar 20 - Worked this afternoon on a backsplash for the sink in the guest bath.
The backsplash has been made and stained.  Poly to seal it will be going on this evening.
The backsplash in the foreground and the window sill in the background.  Both need sealing with poly then they will go on.  Should be done by Tuesday, maybe Wednesday.

28 Mar 20 - Well it was time to put a window sill on the bathroom window at the end of the hallway.  First I had to cut the side moldings at the bottom where the window sill will set.
I next made a template because of the little angles to make sure it fit right  I had a piece of pink foam board for this template.
I then took the 1 X 5.5 inch pine board and traced from the template once I got it right.  I made all the cuts to the board and it fit perfectly.
I did a router edge on the front and the 2 ends then stained the wood the same color as the closet door and the shower curtain.  I will use wipe on poly tomorrow and then glue it in place.  Not bad for a couple of hours work.

27 Mar 20 - A couple of days ago I was spraying some weed killer, not the agent orange stuff. around the back yard.  I decided to go around the camper and when I was spraying by the gate I forgot and ran into the 5th wheel hitch on the front!  Glad I had my hat on or it could have been much worse!  It is just a flesh wound but gave me a bit of a head ache!

26 Mar 20 - More work on the old stool.  Using pickled oak stain on the legs and cross pieces.  I may put another coat of it before I polyurethane it.
Got a little can of stain at the ACE Hardware down the street.
This is the piece of leather for the top once I find a piece of foam to put on it.

21 Mar 20 - Rocker has been repaired, lightly steel wooled, and then waxed.
 It looks very nice!
It is very comfortable but slippery from the floor wax.

18 Mar 20 - Went to the thrift store a couple days ago to drop off some donations and saw this rocker.  So I asked what they wanted for it.  The arm was included so I brought it home to repair.  It is a very comfortable chair.
This is a stool from my first National Guard Unit in Sarasota from 1986.  It has seen better days, the seat was completely come apart.  All the glue joints were no longer holding.  So I took it apart and have glued it back together.  I have a new piece of leather coming to recover it and will probably white wash the legs.
The rocker came apart nicely since the glue on it didn't hold either.
Only one slat on the back was still glued.  The head rest has a crack in it also, which is clamped and drying now.  More work today on it!

13 Mar 20 - Finished coating the work bench with Wipe on Poly!
Turned out a little prettier than I expected.
15 Mar 20 - The first 2 leaves on the big tree in the back yard!  The tree on the west side of the pool cage has 2 leaves also!  Looks like spring is here.

12 Mar 20 - Finally got time and drive to clean the shed and build a new work bench.  I could no longer walk into the shed because I had not properly put away things!  So Kathy and I cleaned and organized the shed on the 11th.  This morning I went to Home Depot on Speedway Blvd to get the materials.  I started by going to the HD on Dunlawton to avoid the Bike Week traffic, but they didn't have the counter top I wanted.  So I had to fight the bike traffic home.
I will post some more pictures today when the top is finished with polyurethane.
