31 Jan 22 - Fornt Porch Coating

Shark Coatings from Jacksonville came this morning to fix the awful job that was done on the front porch.  Lets hope it turns out very nice.

 

They ground off the old finish both with a floor machine and an angle grinder.

And then they rolled the coating on and threw in the color chips and waited for it to dry.

They they rolled a top sealer on with a non-slip agent in it.

Man does it look much better that the grey stuff before.

30 Jan 22 - Ice on the bird bath?!

 Yes there was ice on the bird bath this morning!

28 Jan 22 - Manatees in Blue Springs

This morning we went to Blue Springs State Park to see the manatees.  The sign at the entrance said the count was 695 manatees.  There were a bunch of them enjoying the warmth of the 72 degree spring water.

It was a great trip and a wonderful walk through the woods.
 

26 Jan 22 - Don's Tree Trimming Service

This morning Don's Tree Trimming service came to give the sycamore trees in the back yard a lift and trim.

They did a good job and ground up all the branches and hauled them away.

 

25 Jan 22 - Willie Wonka - not the Gene Wilder version

 I had a dental appointment to remove some amalgam and fill a couple of small cavities. Since it was overcast out I didn't bring my tinted safety glasses so they gave me these Willie Wonka (Johnie Depp) version glasses.  I told them they looked like the ones from that movie.

24 Jan 22 - Frost! Wow!

Woke up to frost this morning!  We did go for a 6 mile walk on the beach even in the cold!

 

17 Jan 22 - Red Bell Mounted

I made the post for the Red Bell from Michigan.  I do need to find or have made a proper upright. The bell also needs to be taken apart and sand blasted and repainted.

 

15 Jan 22 - Fire Night

We got a load of fire wood on Friday and I picked up 3 pallets and broke them down for starter wood.  So tonight we had a wonderful fire!
 

15 Jan 22 - 5th Wheel Installed & Night Shot

Got the 5th wheel installed today so it is ready to tow the camper.

Went out to get our rain jackets out of the truck because Sunday morning it was forecast to rain.  I pushed the unlock button and all the lights came on!  Looks pretty cool.

7 Jan 22 - 2 A-10 Thunderbolts coming in for a landing

We were very surprised to hear these 2 A-10 Thunderbolts coming in for a landing today.  Never did hear them leave though.  Have no idea why there were in town.
