31 Mar 22 - Topo's Detailing

Topo's detailing came today to wash and wax the camper and the truck.  The camper needed it very badly!

They do a great job!

The back door on the camper actually reflects light gain!

4 people working for a little over 2 hours getting the job done.  Amazing crew lead by the business owner.

 

30 Mar 22 - Start to Rattle Making

After cutting and gluing up the mahogany board I started making the first rattle for a friends new granddaughter.  He is the guy who does the engraving on all the previous rattle that I have made.

After making it round I started making the 3 captive rings that make up the rattle part.

I ran out of time to finish it today.  More work later.
 

29 Mar 22 - Treasure Island Hotel Demolition Day - Finally

The demolition of the old Treasure Island hotel started yesterday.  The newspaper said it will take a week to pull it down with this crane with a jaw on the end.  Then 2 weeks to haul away the debris.  It is currently Thursday night and the crane has not operated one full day so far, and no action happened yesterday.  So I don't know how they will finish in a week.

 

29 Mar 22 - Mahogany board prep.

 Jonathan brought this mahogany boards up from south Florida last year and it has been curing beside the house.  It is time to plane it and get it ready for use.  

3 Mar 22 - Hookup up and ready to roll.

Heading south for Eleanor's 4th birthday.  First time pulling with the new truck.

 

3 Mar 22 - Mom's Bell and new Upright

I had the upright made at a local welding shop.  Now I have to take apart the bell and take it to the powder coat shop to get it all pretty again.

 

24 Feb 22 - Fuel Tank

I got the fuel tank from the black truck polished up and put in the new truck!

The backlog from the manufacturer was 16 - 18 weeks for a new one.  So we just rescued the old one from South Carolina.
