15 May 21 - Screw in the Tire

We noticed this little gem in the side wall of the tire when we moved to the new site yesterday.  Don't know where we picked it up but with its location in the shoulder of the tire it cannot be repaired if it went all the way thru.

I kept and eye on the tire pressure and didn't notice any drop.

I removed the screw and used a soapy water mixture to see if there was any leakage.  And ..... there was not leakage!  One new tire not required!
 

14 May 21 - Bad Camp Site, Hallandale, FL

We arrived at the mobile home and RV park in Hallandale Florida around 5:30 pm.  The site we were assigned was taken so we had a choice of 2 other sites.  I picked what I thought was the better site.  Boy was I wrong! Neither site was good.  We managed to get into this site without hitting the telephone pole.

The gravel made pushing the camper up the little incline much more difficult.  We didn't get it in as straight as we wanted to nor could be get it level because our levelers were just sink in the gravel.

Missed the telephone by that much!  A miss is a good as a mile!

We got the truck unhooked and connected the power cord to the pedestal only to find out that the pedestal was improperly wired and our surge protector could not release power to the camper.  So we decided to hook back up and move out of that spot over to the other side of the park.

Again we missed the telephone pole.  We found a much better spot in the other half of the park and got set up.  A very trying location.  As you can see the tire depressions on the gravel!
 

11 May 21 - Legless Lizard aka Glass Snake

While walking to the camper gate in the front yard today I saw this lying in the grass.  I thought it would quickly disappear, but it didn't.  Don't know what it died from but it was definitely not going anywhere fast.

It had pretty blues and purple coloring.

I did have to throw it in the trash.  It was about a foot long.
 

8 May 21 - Pot Luck, Range Day!

Today we had a pot luck lunch range day over in Sanford.  A former Soldier shooting his M1 Garand and the guy kneeling is shooting a Ruger 10/22.  A good day overall.  On the way home we stopped at a blueberry farm and picked 7 pounds of berries for the freezer.
 

3 May 21 - Tracy Paints the Pool Deck

Today Tracy arrived at 6:30 to paint the pool deck.  The final step in the pool renovation.  Here he is edging down the screen.

West side painted.

East side painted.  I will get more pictures tomorrow when we cal walk on it.  It looks much better!

Got a small spot under the gutter that got dripped on while it was still wet.  I have to touch it up tomorrow.

That pesky little spot.

28 Apr 21 - Motorcycle Cleaning

I didn't cover the motorcycle while making and sanding the mahogany bowl, so I have to clean the very dusty motorcycle.

The red mahogany dust covered everything!

You can see where I sat go get it out of the shop.

I moved the truck over to Bills house across the street and he currently has a Lincoln Town Car with this dealer sticker on the back.  I told him we used to have a dealership!  Pretty cool.
 

27 Apr 21 - Fridge & Freezer

Went to visit a longtime friend of Kathy and his wife.  They are fulltime living in their motorhome.  They live on the 5 plus acres on their daughter and son-in-law at VMP Performance.  We visited the new house of their daughter and son-in-law and Kathy had to open this fridge and freezer.  The right door is the fridge side and the left door is the freezer side.  They have 6 kids, one with very special needs, so they have 2 dishwashers in the kitchen.  They also have 2 washers and 2 driers in the laundry room.  A beautiful home!  Wish I would have taken more pictures though.
