10 Jun 21 - Camper Vent Replacement & Broken Ladder
The Fantastic Fan on the camper was finally acting up enough to need replacing.
Well actually I bought this fan to put in the bathroom, that fan needs replacing also. But 6 inches behind the bathroom fan is a vent pipe sticking thru the roof. With this fan and the way it overhangs the back of the hole it won't fit in the bathroom so it got put in the living/kitchen hole.
The fan when it closes lowers to within 1/2 inch of the roof.
A couple of hours of work and the new fan is in and working.
On our last trip where we hooked the cable I noticed the ladder at the 3rd wrung from the top starting to flex pretty badly. Well today one of the poles broke and then the second one snapped.
I removed the ladder and was going to turn some wooden oak dowels to put inside the pipes, but I had a metal handle that just fit inside the pipes. So I cut 2 one foot pieces and slipped them into the pipes and use some self tapping screws to hold it all together. Job is done!

28 May 21 - Camper Ladder Damage
On the 28th Kathy and I were backing into a RV site at a horse farm and hooked the comcast cable running to the owners house. We damaged the top of the ladder that was mounted to the roof. Once the cable released from the ladder it cracked a roof vent cover. So it now had to be removed from the roof and fixed.
31 May 21 - I removed the top of the ladder from the roof and had to straighten it out, it bent the only wrung on it.
I put some good sealing tape on the original mounting location to help seal the holes in the roof.
Finished project. It is much sturdier that it was when I took it off.
When we returned to the same spot on the 6th the comcast cable was still very low. They company was supposed to come bury the cable when it was first installed. The owner of the farm was not upset that we hooked it.

15 May 21 - Screw in the Tire
We noticed this little gem in the side wall of the tire when we moved to the new site yesterday. Don't know where we picked it up but with its location in the shoulder of the tire it cannot be repaired if it went all the way thru.
I kept and eye on the tire pressure and didn't notice any drop.
I removed the screw and used a soapy water mixture to see if there was any leakage. And ..... there was not leakage! One new tire not required!

14 May 21 - Bad Camp Site, Hallandale, FL
We arrived at the mobile home and RV park in Hallandale Florida around 5:30 pm. The site we were assigned was taken so we had a choice of 2 other sites. I picked what I thought was the better site. Boy was I wrong! Neither site was good. We managed to get into this site without hitting the telephone pole.
The gravel made pushing the camper up the little incline much more difficult. We didn't get it in as straight as we wanted to nor could be get it level because our levelers were just sink in the gravel.
Missed the telephone by that much! A miss is a good as a mile!
We got the truck unhooked and connected the power cord to the pedestal only to find out that the pedestal was improperly wired and our surge protector could not release power to the camper. So we decided to hook back up and move out of that spot over to the other side of the park.
Again we missed the telephone pole. We found a much better spot in the other half of the park and got set up. A very trying location. As you can see the tire depressions on the gravel!
