17 Aug 20 - This shelf is between the back Kitchen door and the laundry room window. It used to have a wooden door before the remodel and painting of the house. I have been working on a replacement door for quite some time now, actually over a year.
I found the window part of this and then added 2X4's around it to make it larger than the hole where the shelves are. I attached some hinges to the back and mounted them to the wall. I had painted the back side of the door before I attached the hinges.
It is now attached to the wall and is level and plumb.
3 coats of white paint later and it looks like this. I still have to put another coat of paint on it.
I am going to do something to the glass so you can't see thru it. I may get to that tomorrow, we will wait and see. There have been storms rolling thru every day for the past week. The one today came early that is why I hung the door without painting the front. I put magnetic catches to the shelves to hold the door closed. Works great!
